Mr. Suraj Kumar came to Washington, D.C. from Punjab, India, first working in restaurants in New York, Austin, and Denver. Mr. Kumar and his wife Sudesh have been in the restaurant business for over 20 years, 12 of the most recent in Maryland. The Kumar family came to the Annapolis area in 1992 taking over the Indian restaurant on Main Street. After a fire destroyed the restaurant in 1997, Mr. Kumar, his wife, son Raghu, and daughter Rozy opened the newer location on West Street a little more than a year later. The supurbly trained chef is a nephew, Zeenat Bhanot, who excels at preparing wonderfully delicious fare.

India's is a Welcome Addition to Annapolis by Allan S. from Crofton Maryland
India's has excellent food, excellent service, and a quiet, romantic atmosphere. The food is exceptional, the price is very reasonable, and the staff is friendly. India's is one of the best overall Indian restraunts that I have eaten at. Just be careful of the chicken Vindaloo...Medium spicy really means HOT!!! I enjoyed every sweat-causing bite!
India's -- A Little-Known Jewel of West Street, by A Yahoo! User from Annapolis, Maryland
I have eaten at India's over the years, and I have always enjoyed the excellent food, service and atmosphere. The owner greets all guests warmly, and a waiter will make sure your water glass is never empty!
I first discovered India's on my quest for tasty vegetarian food. India's definitely has that covered--there are many entrees for veggies to enjoy (in addition to the wonderful selections for you carnivores out there!) as well as side dishes, appetizers and breads that you will savor. If you are so inclined to eat dessert at India's, you need to try the kheer--an irresistable rice pudding.
